Looking for good 1/72nd British WWII vehicles.

Hope you vehicle chaps can help an aircraft modeller!

I'd like some good 1/72 model vehicles for RAF WWII airfield use. Airfix do various ones but are listed as 1/76 (most of the time I believe!). Is there much noticeable difference between 1/72 and 1/76 and are they ok? I'm not a rivet counter so I'm not too fussy if "They haven't the right number of wheel studs on the trailer" etc.

Rick.

Hi Rick, I use Airfix all the time for my Dioramas and find they're fairly easy to build and sure look like

the real thing. As for the scale , I find it acceptable for showing off aircraft, so I'm happy with them HTH,

Thanks Sean.

Not doing the maths, but is there much difference between 1/72 and 1/76th? I know Airfix sell them as mixed scales with aircraft so I guess they aren't too bad? I wouldn't mind the tower and re-fueling sets. I seem to remember the tower hasn't any inside fixtures so a bit of scratch building will be called for which doesn't bother me much.

Cheers,

Rick.

Bought off e-bay a couple years back with no packaging, but if memory serves me, it is the Heller kit with trailer.

No need for the trailer, still lurking somewhere waiting to be built,

Sean
