Huckebein

I will build a Luft'46 Ta-183 Huckebein (need to finish first my DC-6B)

I am not sure if it will be a Luftwaffe or captured by USSR/USA/RAF or that Argentina made it instead of the Pulqui II :)

Plenty options for a colourful scheme to this one. Look forward to watching it take shape.

The DC-6B looks interesting as well. RFI soon for her I hope?

It's a nice kit. I have build two and there are no real problems with it. The only thing i would do is to seal of the engine inlet with a plate, because there is no detail in there. There are also a few detail sets for it. take a look here.

Hi Pabbi

Go Luftwaffe as my He 177 will need an escort :nuke:

My Huckebein will be for the squadron leader "immelborn Bad Salzungen" of Jagdgeschwader 183, squadron responsible for escort of nuclear loaded He 177's :thumbsup2:

Thanks Pabbi . This is going to be a dangerous mission for both aircraft . Are you able to extend range with external fuel tanks . We need to get within 450 miles of target . Will let\ you know target ASAP when the boss makes up his mind .

perhaps some primative form of air to air refueling can be devised :pilot:

yes this is coming together quickly, the fit is excellent. I only used dissolved putty once (see arrow) but that was my fault, not position the front undercarriage bay correctly.

I did cut off the "wing inserts to fuselage" using 25sec superglue to glue and position the wings.

I guess AMtech could have called this kit "weekend edition" :)

I had exactly the same fit problem when I did mine. I thought that I had caused it when I glued in the nose weights but perhaps it's an artifict of the kit? Whichever, everything else fits nicely although I did nave an adventure or two getting the cockpit lined up properly; there's not much there to keep in in place while you're gluing the fuselage halves together.

The camouflage done, opted for RLM 74/75 for flying over sea :)

Yellow/black for the nuclear colors, the nose will get the black checker decals included in the kit.

Tomorrow I will get the Quickboost looking forward to see how that will look :)
