EE Canberra BI G

The English Electric Canberra was intended to be the first jet engined bomber for the RAF , however following the failure of the jet engine to produce anything like it's promised performance , the designers quickly re-drew their plans to build a Mosquito replacement , by giving the Canberra two RR Griffon 65's with contra props. The redundant jet pipes proved ideal for the fitting of two rocket motors, these could give increase take off performance and/or increased speed/height over target.

These Canberra BI G aircraft gave stirling service for several years ,until replaced by jet powered versions and are now little remembered.

Anyone else care to add their votes for this one? Have to admit it took me a while to pick my favourites as there is a fine collection of finished models to choose from.

Yes it is Arnold and we have two clear winners in Kallisti and Deanflyer. I'll hopefully get time tomorrow and get everything tidied up but alas not had much chance over the last couple days. Bear with me gang ;)
