richellis
Wow. Ive had this on sky-plus for a few weeks and just watched it. What a great programe. was on BBC4, so maybe on i-player. It is crazy that death was just seen as a side effect of the sport, and people went for the accidents! As a good side, some very very nice cars though... Madmonk
Watched this when it was on and again last week as it was on the iplayer. Absolutely absorbing programme and very poinient with the passing of Prof Sid Watkins. The total disregard for safety and the acceptance that injury or death was just one of those things is difficult to comprehend in today's Health & Safety controlled world. Certainly worth watching, and as Richellis says some cracking cars!
TMC_Sherpa
It's available on DVD but we can't keep them in stock so I haven't seen it yet. The same folks do Deadliest Crash: 1955 Le Mans, which we can't keep available over here either.
