Anthony Kesterton
Hi all I was able to visit the Czech Air Force Museum (known as the Kebly Air Plane Museum) in Prague on Sunday. Well worth a visit if you are in Prague - with lots of Soviet planes - some in hangers but a lot outside (I counted at least 5 Mig-21's of different types, 3 Mig-23's). Aircraft range from WW1 onwards, with lots of Czech types. Hangers also had non-military aircraft including numerous gliders and some very usual types. Entrance is free - and easy to get to on public transport (metro line C to the end of the line - Letnany, then a quick bus ride a few stops to the museum at the Letecke Museum stop). Even on a Sunday morning - it took me under 30 mins to get from the centre of Prague to the museum. I found the place via this web site http://www.dstorm.eu...her/prague.html which helpfully included details of hobby shops in Prague. I got to one - MPM - lots of stock and they take credit cards. CockneyCol
I've been a few times and it's fantastic, lots of types you don't see in the UK, and I always end up having a craze for one or two of them for months after. Well worth a visit, as is eday of course. It's worth checking out the model shops in Prague too!
