Aircraft In a farm yard near Defford.

This may well have been answered before.

Just to the East of the village of Defford, Worcestershire, there stand 6 aircraft in a farmyard behind some buildings. Has anyone any idea as to what they are? There's at least a Hunter and Meteor. The daft thing is, I used to fly from Croft farm quite regularly and never thought to take a good, low, look!

Location:

52° 5'37.85"N

2° 6'39.34"W

Cheers,

Rick

I'm fairly convinced its a Seahawk now I've had a better look. Are you sure there's two vampires, one looks slightly different to me. You can see the Meteor, Hunter and one Vampire from the road but you can't stop on the side of the road there to have a better look.

Cheers.

A lot of years ago I had a colleague who bought produce at that farm.

The aircraft belong to Graham Revill

Don't know why they're there, but I don't think there's any restoration or anything like that.

The Hunter is XF526 - see Thunder and Lightnings website.

The Meteor T7 is WH166, and

The Seahawk is WN105.

Ah, we're getting somewhere! They've been there ever since I can remember, I've lived not far away since 1970 but not sure when they turned up. I;ll have to do a little digging.

Thanks chaps.

In the field to the south-west of the aircraft (on Bing), why is there a load of cars all parked parallel to the tractor marks? Some have boots so it doesn't seem to be some odd 4x4 thing.

That Jet Provost in Longton is quite near a mdoel shop, isn't it?

There pickers, usually onions. Very common around here at certain times. Or are they making crop circles............
