FrancieT
Does anyone know what of markings would have been on Inniskilling bren carriers while they were in the 5th Infantry Division? cheers Francie
JackG
The letter "Y" in white was the symbol for the 5th Infantry. I believe Inniskilling were a battalion in the 13th brigade, so that would place them as senior formation? That would make it a white number on a red square. The numbers were different dependent on what year you are looking at. If no further help comes here, this would be a question to ask at ww2talk.com regards, Jack
