Rodders Posted September 5, 2012 Share Posted September 5, 2012 Hi All, I'm not starting it yet but, i got the Revell 1/72 88mm gun last christmas from SWMBO. I think i've made a mistake as i got the SDKFZ 9 Famo from the same range, to tow it. I'm pretty sure i should have the SDKFZ 7. Does anyone know if the 9 was used to tow it, or was it only for heavier items. Again i'm going into unknown territory, Anyone help, Thanks. Graeme Posted September 5, 2012 Share Posted September 5, 2012 (edited) I think the best answer would be 'never say never'...I would expect there would have been plenty of examples of Famo's being used to tow 88mm's! I have a photo of a brand new Sabre MRAP, at Bovington, towing a WWII era 25lbdr gun - work on the assumption that if something has a towing hitch, in some instance it will get used to tow something even if its not what it was designed for!
