Plumbum
Hello, not done a tank in ages. What is this kit, black and white box. Is it a full kit or just separate track links for a King Tiger kit? If it is a kit is it a decent representation of a King Tiger?---Henschel or Porsche turret?---Thanks---John Edited September 2, 2012 by Johnv
Parabat
Is this what you are talking about? http://www.modelhobbies.co.uk/shop/images/military135/TA35165.jpg If so, its just the tracks, Tamiya do a Porsche and a Henschel turret. I'm currently building the Henschel (production) kit. Great detail, but the tracks do want A/M replacements for the vinyl offerings.
Plumbum
Thanks----on e-bay one seller called it a model kit but I thought it was just an aftermarket track set. I am hoping to do the Porsche turret after I finish my T-34/

Plumbum
Thanks, zimmerit not included? Would think not.---John
Parabat
Tamiya tend not to include zimmerit, but I am going to try and do the zimmerit on one of my tanks with putty or Milliput and use a screwdriver tip to detail it.
pigsty
Even Tamiya's new Elefant doesn't have Zimmerit, although they will very kindly sell you some separately. For some reason this benighted stuff has always foxed model manufacturers - even now only a handful of Dragon kits have it moulded in. But it has at least kept the makers of Zimmerit tools and materials in business.
