By chance, would anyone know anything about the use of a Beech Expeditor C.2 stationed at Far Hal, Malta in or around the early 1950's ?

There is an graphic of on Wingpalette: http://wp.scn.ru/en/ww2/t/591/9/0

I am very interested in its use and maybe if there are any photos that may be published on the net or in books?

cheers

Hal far Was the main Target drone base with 728 NAS & as well as Firefiy drones ,had several aircraft & helecopters assigned to it for Transport ,Rescue,Refresher Training. The expeditorC2 would have been used for transport. The Air Britain book Fleet Air Arm fixed wing aircraft since 1946 covers each aircraft history & has a picture of HF flight. Regards Len

HD764 811/HF was only on Malta during 1947, being returned to the UK and not venturing overseas again.

Hal Far in the 50s, either the Station Flight or 782 Sq, appears to have been the elephant's graveyard for Expeditors before their withdrawal from use in 1957. Several of them were coded 811. The photo in the AB book shows 811/FH FT996, with 782 Sq in 1948. I rather doubt that the appearance changed before the end.
