SaintsPhil
Anyone fancy having a guess at the designation for this launch rail please? http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g77/Mlodj/AIM-120onAV-8B.jpg Bonus points if you can suggest a source in 1/48! I was thinking maybe F-18 kit or F-16.... Thanks in advance!
Dads203
LAU-128 maybe ? Wolfpack used to do them for the F-15/F-18 in 48th scale. Pic here.... http://www.aviationclassics.co.uk/news/the-harrier-abroad Edited August 31, 2012 by Dads203
SaintsPhil
Thanks, I was leaning towards 128, I've since read that the F-16CJ kits might have them in, so either over to wanted, or treat myself to a Tamiya F-16 that I've been eyeing up... Dads203
I think the LAU 128 is the standard AIM-120 launchrail, found on most US aircraft, interesting that the link you posted shows it on a Harrier ( AV-8B) wing I think that the Tamiya F-16's come with them as standard as well as the Hasegawa and Kinectic boxings so you won't have any issues finding some. I have a tri-wing bolt at home you can tell me the tailnumber of the aircraft it came off next time you come round Nick
