1/48 Falkland wessex done, this ones for you OZ H

Recommended Posts

This is the 1/48 scale Wessex kit from Italeri, it knocks spots off the old Revel kit, and for me this is going to be the first of many

One person I must mention here is Oz H for the big X`s thanks mate

Hi Malc,

Absolutely great model and reminds me when I used to fly in these beasts whilst on 848 and 845 NAS.

That last photo, did the decal come like that - "NO AND HOLD?? :hmmm:

Hi Mireson, lovely work for a ugly machine. I hope that Italeri releases a new mould for the HAS 3 "Humprey" too, soon. :goodjob:

What you say about the quality of mould ? The parts fits well ?

Love it - I remember my first time and only time in the back of a RAF Wessex on exercise on Sennybridge in 1980. I may have to give in and get one of these!

I was at Sennybridge in 1980 also went on operation crusader in Germany

Mike

Brings back a lot of memory’s, nice build

Sennybridge???? Brings back memories! Bad ones!!!!

The Wessex used to do our lifts on the Mk1 Cymbeline all those years ago..........

Great model, Best thing about the Wessex was after a cold long patrol you would always get a blast of hot air from the engines as you were getting on. bliss.

Hi Malc,

further to my previous comments (I've just had another look at your photos) and I'd like to say that I really like that rotor head assembly and how you've finished it
