Mike DeTorrice
You have completed an excellent model of this Lightning interceptor, Tim ! Fine work on this classic British supersonic jet. Mike
IPMS19
Nothing wrong with that mate. The undercarriage leg does look a bit splayed, are they a bit weak , or is it just the photo angle makes it look like that? (It's for an airfix lightning I'm thinking of doing.) BB -After building 3 of them,, by Airfix, I can attest that , to my sense ,the landing gear is a bit weak owing to the weight of the model Edited September 13, 2012 by IPMS19
Dan
Looks bloody good to me! Can i ask... What did you eat prior to knocking out this fine specimen?!
gazza l
Very nice, making one of these at the moment in the very same colours; hope mine turns out as nice as yours.
jimmyanne
Very nice, built the same model last year, really good kit. The only problem i found was the nose didnt conform to the shape of the plane, but otherwise a great model, which you have built very well indeed. treker_ed
Thanks for the kind comments. Greatly appreciated. Pigsty - They are the kit decals so I just followed the instructions but I agree, I have no references of a Lightning with those marks. I am sure Mr Clark will be along with the answer at some point! Saints Phil - The seat is a tad big. I sanded it down on the bottom half inch or so to clear the side panels. It took about 5 minutes of fettling so nothing too serious. i believe that the flashes were applied for a display that the squadron did - unfortunately, as they accelerated down the runway - they peeled off.................
