Rigged using Nickel Silver 0.33mm wire. Painted using Alclad, Tamiya and Mr Metal Color paints. Not too disappointed with it for a first attempt but I may go back to Alclad for any future representations of this finish! Other than that all OOB. Hull covered in Scotch-Cal, upper fuselage, wings, tail plane sprayed Humbrol polished aluminium. Base is a wooden place mat with filler waves, painted with Humbrol blue acrylic 15. Finished with Tamiya spray cans and brush acrylics. Weathered with Flory Models washes. Build thread here. (finished Friday) Here's my Gloster Gladiator I, 87 Squadron, RAF Debden 1938 Modifications from Heller 1:72nd kit as follows: Full rescribe of metal panels and rivet detail. Heavily trimmed down Vector resin Mercury engine, with scratchbuilt pushrods and cowling braces Pavla prop, wheels and decals. Fully scratchbuilt interior from plastic stock (only the control column is a kit part) Tailheel modified from Harrier outrigger wheel (yes, I lost the kit wheels...) Quickboost resin Browning barrels. Kit fully rigged (I'm not happy with the radio antenna, but the rest is OK Paints are Revell Aqua silver mixed with Vallejo white, and Humbrol roundel blue (Hu25) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
