TCinLA
If you go to Modeling Madness this Monday, you will see the announcement of the H-K Models 1/32 B-17G with photos of the final CAD drawings (not quite final, there are a couple of antennas that need changing). Photos include the detailed interior. It has an approximately 40" wingspan. It's up to you to figure out the additions to your house that will be necessary. I'll be putting mine out at Planes of Fame where they have sufficient hangar space. A price (hopefully) slightly north of US$200.00. Cost of additonal room in your home not included. A release of December 2012/January 2013, with pre-orders available from their distributors in November (so you can get SWMBO to give it to you as your every-present-I-should-get-in-2013-at-once. It's a late production B17G-30 series, with Cheyenne turret and staggered windows, and will have nose panels that will allow you to do a Boeing, Lockheed-Vega, or Douglas-Long Beach airplane. It will have appropriate raised rivet/lapped panel exterior detail. Actual Subject Matter Experts (names you will recognize when you see them) participated in the review of the plans while still in the computer (where they're easy to fix), making this the most accurate B-17G released in any scale. And here are some More-than-Rumours/Less-than-facts for future things from H-K: A 1/32 Meteor Mk. 4 is in development for release early next year. A Mk. 8 will follow. The 1/32 Avro Lancaster development project is underway, with submission of the computer drawings to appropriate Subject Matter Experts. You will hopefully see it next year sometime. There are other highly-requested subjects in initial development, but mentioning them would mean they'd have to hire an army of Men In Black to come kill you all, and who wants to kill the customer base? You will be enormously happy when you learn what is what, and who participated in developing each.

triumphfan
I am a big fan of the Meteor so I shall probably have one of those. Then sell it 2 years later when I finally realise that I don't have the room to display it built Steve. Mind you, I could probably manage to sqeeze an F.8 in the display cabinet with those stubby wings? Edited August 12, 2012 by triumphfan

JohnT
Really pleased they are going to do both the Meteor 4 and the 8. Size shouldn't be too bad compared to the B17 and Lanc.
TCinLA
BTW - for those interested, the B-17 is not a G-30 series but an 80 series (old Fumble Fingers strikes again!)
