Homebee
Hypersonic Models corrected engine resin sets on approach - ref. HMR 48021 Source: http://www.hypersonicmodels.co.uk/product/a-3-skywarrior-engines Update 26/09/2015: The Skywarrior engine set is taking shape. The master parts have come back from 3d printing and are now in the post preparation stage (priming, sanding, priming, sanding...), getting ready for moulding the first inter-masters which will then again need to be prepped, some surface detail added and then I can make production moulds from them. I hope I'll have some prototype sets ready for Telford. The canopy masters are also progressing. I have changed my mind about the vacu-fromed production though. More details later... ------------------------------------------------------------- A-3 Skywarrior Engine Corrected engine nacelles with intakes, exhausts and pylons for the Trumpeter A-3 Skywarrior kits in 1:48. Homebee
DMold is also preparing some upgrade sets for these kits. Source: http://dmold-modelworks.com/ Here are preliminary pictures of first of new releases coming in March. This correction set is intended for 1/48 A-3 Skywarrior kits by Trumpeter and it replaces the entirely wrong forward fuselage of the kit. The new parts have been made in a strong accordance with a technical documentation and a difference between cross-sections of the kit and replacement parts along the radome come is clearly seen on one of the photos presented on the link here. Both sets, with early and late radomes, will be released now. Next obvious flaw of the kit is engine nacelles. Been assymetrical in actuality they are presented in the kit looking like a perfect spindle and suspended under too small pylons. Overall, the kit engine nacelles are totally incorrect and also need to be replaced. The new engine nacelles, presented here, are intended just for this purpose. The picture is clickable to see more details on this forthcoming set. More announcements on new releases for this and another kits will follow soon. V.P. Homebee
Hypersonic canopy set is in progress Source: https://www.facebook.com/hypersonicmodels/posts/978899532196083 Here's an update on the Skywarrior canopies: The re-shaping is now done and all framing for the first version applied. I still have to do more polishing and then make intermediate resin copies to use for both the early and late bomber variant (sextant position moved) which will have their specific details added before I can send it for clear casting. The set also includes the proper cockpit floor and the rear wall. The parts are based on the kit interior parts, but the whole interior is totally reformatted for a more realistic allocation of the crew seats and adapted to properly fit this new forward fuselage.ref. Homebee
Source: https://www.facebook.com/hypersonicmodels/posts/1011282665624436 The first test casts of the clear canopy parts have arrived and I'm already quite happy how they turned out! Yes, there are a few air bubbles and things but it's definitely moving into the right direction. The mould set-up will be changed slightly and the masters will be polished further for improved clarity. I'm now working on the escape hatch and the part that includes the hatch rails and the emergency release mechanism. This will slot into the top cutout. V.P. FIGHTS ON
Amazing stuff, worse, I have followed the link to you web page & seen the pending B-57 front end and other stuff that I will want. I'm serving overseas at the moment, planning the list of kits to do when I return, already trying to decide how I hide the purchases from the wife. Outstanding work, thank you

Hopefully I'll have something ready by the end of the year. Jeffrey Hi Jeffrey, are these canopies still in progress? Also, will there be a EA, RA, TA -3B style canopy on the way to correct the slightly oversized item in the kit?
JeffreyK
Hi, yes, I'm afraid the canopies are still not ready to release. I've made new moulds and will try the clear casting myself now, first attempt scheduled for next week...Not sure how that will go. The basic master for the Version canopies is being worked on, There will be an early and late variant, just as with the bomber types, but I won't make the TA-3B variant - too different from the others yet very low appeal of the aircraft (to me at least). Cheers Jeffrey
