What WW2 subjects do you want to see from Airfix?

I am quite keen for Airfix to re-tool thier 1/72 Spitfire Mk Vb and I am also hoping for a new B-17.

But what do you want?

I'd like to see re-tooled Mossie and Beaufighter. And the Stirling, of course.

Cheers,

Bill

Blenheim

Battle

Hampden

Beaufighter

Beaufort

Defiant

Hawker Hart/Hind/Audax/Demon

Tiger Moth

Chipmunk

Scimitar

Javelin

Hunter

Seahawk

Basically any of the above in 1/48 and then scaled down to 1/72...I know, I'm not asking for much!!! :-)

A good Beaufighter in 72nd with multiple mark options be high on the list.

Then the Typhoon/Tempest/Sea Fury series in any of the major scales. Same with the Hawker biplane lineage.

Sure there's plenty more if I thought about it but that should do for starters.

What do you think is wrong with the current B17?

I too would love a new Airtfix Vb in 1/72; Tamiya's leaves much to be desired, and I found the AZ model one disagreeable to build. I'd also love a 1/72 Spit XII and high-backed XIVe.

Junkers JU388 1/72 or 1/48

Junkers JU52 1/72

Selection of seated allied and axis pilots with some bomb aimers and navigators 1/72 and 1/48

V1 launch ramp diorhama 1/72 or 1/48

Me 163 1/24 still be smallish.

Sterling 1/72

Dornier Do17 1/48

I think these can sell well enough to turn a proffit

Very unlikely to ever happen but I would dearly love a Focke Wulf FW187 Falke in 1/32 preferably but 1/48 would do.

Just such a beautiful aircraft, at its time faster than a 109 but Kurt Tank was not in 'the loop' at the time, so it was never going to get past the pre-production stage.

I think the Luftwaffe stuff has been dealt with/will be dealt with by Revell Germany and others. The German kits Airfix has done are good choices for them to make some money...109E, 110, but there are so many RAF types that should be done/redone.

Just off the top of my head, I would like to see:

1/72

Vampires!!!

Tempest V

Typhoon Ib (maybe a nice car-door)

continue the Spitfires ... XII, XIV, Seafire 47, retool the V

Mustang III

Whirlwind

Blenheim

Stirling

Halifax III

1/48

Vampires!!!

Tempest V

Sea Fury

Spitfires/Seafires...

Blenheim

1/24

Spitfire IX

Tempest V

Martin Baker MB.5 (OK, that's not likely to happen...)

Post-war:

Shackleton

Lincoln

Lightnings!

Hunters

Spey Phantoms

Meteors

Venom

Britannia

Hastings

Beverley

Richard

1/350 & 1/700 emergency class destroyer think of all the ships you could build

Oh yes please, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.

I have been trying to scratchbuild one of these in 1/350 for about 10 years, but can't bring myself to cutting up a WEM J Class hull.
