Adam Maas
Well I'm in with Academy's P-47D Razorback. Academy P-47D 1/72 by mawz_models, on Flickr Not sure which markings I'll use, the kit markings are for both an MTO bird and an ETO bird. I'm leaning towards the MTO scheme for the checkers and nose art.
wellzy
Hi Adam good to see you If you go for the MTO its got to be after the end of 1943 wellzy
Adam Maas
And it's coming together nicely Academy P-47D Razorback 1/72 by mawz_models, on Flickr Both decal options are for 1944, so the MTO scheme is clear.

Wizball
Will you do anything about the wheel well seam? I'm doing the bubbletop right now and I'm in two minds about it, I'll likely make a mess of it. Same thing for the sink marks on the flaps which I see you also have. Your build is looking good so far! Apart from those small niggles I enjoy the kit.
Adam Maas
I'm going to deal with the sink marks, but not the wheel well seams, they're not visible enough and require too much work to get right.

Adam Maas
And the engine's on with the cowl. Used a chunk of sprue to push out the prop shaft so I didn't have to glue it in place.
