Spitfires Forever Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Greetings, I was wondering if Tamiya still made this kit. I built one originally in 1970 as a young lad and regret throwing it out 20 years ago because I didn't think I couldn't keep storing it in my small apartment. The kit was 50.00 USD at that time, I imagine it is at least twice that much now if it is still being produced. Also, if it is still in production have any improvements been made to the kit. I am looking to relive the past just a little bit, the Tiger I captured my imagination as a young lad as it still does today. Cheers
AngloSaxon Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 (edited) This was re-released in 2009 as a limited edition (exactly the same tooling and box). A quick google shows plenty available for sale in UK model shops, most around the £100 mark. Modelzone seems to be about the best deal at £74.99 with free delivery: http://www.modelzone.co.uk/tiger-1-ltd.html Can more than likely be had cheaper from abroad but, I am guessing the carriage is going to be quite expensive and then there's customs of course. Mike. EDIT: Seems Modelzone are out of stock now Edited July 3, 2012 by AngloSaxon

I would dearly love to visit Bovington, and myriad other war museums. I still have a few relatives over there in Blackpool, I should go there before I get to old to travel. Cheers
