Hannants have an RRP of £34.99 for the kit, so with a bit of shopping around a price of around £30.00 should'nt be too far off the mark.

Here's hoping the next one will be an F-4C/D.

The guys at Pocketbond told me £34.99 and in the UK in two weeks.

So a new F-4B and it looks superb, and affordable !!

Will be ordering mine from Lucky Model, even with the postage it's still cheper than buying it over-the-counter here in NZ !!

according to the photographs in detail and scale colour and markings the kit markings are for an F4N and not for an F4B, can anyone correct me on this ?

I'm afraid you are right: 151000 was definitely CAG plane of VF-111 after its conversion into an F-4N.

However pictures show this without the intake antennas typical of this version, so it can be easily mistaken for a B.

It should be interesting to check the sprues to verify if Academy has all the other bits right, although there should be no problem for one important aspect: all F-4N had slotted stabilators and these were retrofitted on a number of F-4B too, but the original F-4B had non-slotted stabilators. The kit seems to have both types included in the box, wonder what the instructions say to use for this aircraft

No VF-111 used F-4Bs before, so it could be that they also had 151000 on strength, but I'm not sure it had the same style of markings. I've seen a picture of one of VF-111 CAG F-4Bs and it was a different aircraft.

The box art did get the stabilators correct. Maybe that person should work the CAD next time...😜

Would be nice to see if ZM intend to add any new variants to their line up anytime soon

They announced that an F-4E/EJ/G is coming soon. By end of year IIRC. (And yes it will have a new correct(?) fuselage since they scanned a real F-4E.)

I've built the Academy F-4B. Nice kit, (with nitpicks) but you have to be precise when lining up the parts. I see they, like ZM, are continuing the trend of offering one new marking version when releasing/re-releasing a kit. The Hasegawa effect?
