Couple of 1/32 toy soldier style efforts next:- Woodland Indians and canoe by Ron Barzo by way of Classic Toy soldiers of San Diego. Same applies to the boots, excellent, they tie into the groundwork very well, mucky! As for the eyes, one of the lads at our club refers to it as 'Popeye'! (I bow to his superior knowledge, he does box art for a number of well know figure producers) My suggestion is have a look in the mirror, i think your problem may be that you're showing the complete iris, this doesn't occur naurally, unless the person is surprised. Have a look at people around you, only about two thirds of the iris is visible normally. Might be worth having a think about a little more shadow at the side of the nose, at the top of the chin dimple and in his 'lugs' (ears for people of a nervous disposition!) Though i do realise the flash may have 'burned out' these areas. Hope the above is useful, as it's only MY oppinion, at the end of the day, it's YOUR figure and should you want to paint him sky blue pink with rubarb stripes, you CAN!!! Best Regards, Paul
