ts-8
Finally finished after a year and a half (working on and off). Rigging is not quite complete (most of the standing rigging is done but I haven't attempted any of the running rigging), but this being my first attempt at building a square rigger I thought I'd leave it at that for now. I may add the rest of the rigging in the future as I gain more experience. Initially I bought the Revell HMS Victory gift set but I didn't like the look of the plastic ratlines that came with that so I managed to find a vintage version from ebay and used the preformed wax ratlines off that which definitley look a lot better. Apart from that its built out of the box. The moulds for this model date back to the late 1950s so not surprisingly a lot of the parts had flashes and the fit was quite poor although the detailing is still quite crisp and I'm quite happy with the finished model. Its very finely detalied for its size and seems to be reasonably accurate. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who has the experience though certainly not one for beginners. Enzo the Magnificent
From what little I can see of the huuuuuuuge photos, it looks good. Any chance you can reduce the size of the photos to around 800x600? Edit responding to your edit: Ta Looking forward to seeing this properly. This is the first time I posted images. They should be better now though. Here's a link to my photobox album if anyone does want to see high res versions (and the rest of my models): http://www.photobox.co.uk/my/album?album_id=1327992744 Edited June 27, 2012 by ts-

Enzo the Magnificent
Yep as I thought, it's a bit special. I can see why it has taken a year and a half. There is a lot of painstaking work in that model.
