what is a safe kit in 1/72 as i need to get one

As for the 1/72 kits, I think Academy or the later Hasegawa boxings would be best.

I agree with Dave. I've gone for the 1/72 Academy kit. Very nice it is too.

I am looking forward to getting started with this build. I also realized that the Revell kit is an F15E which is a 2 seater. So, I grabbed the Academy F-15C MSIP kit instead.

Now, I just have to do some research and wait until the 12th.

Please excuse the new guy in the bunch hear. I misunderstood the single type GB as meaning single seater. doh :blink2:

Oh well, now I have the Academy kit.

Easy mistake to make RM, 5-6 months back I didn't know what a GB was! Now this one'll be my third... and for the time I can't really see myself building anything outside of a Group Build, such is my liking for them :)

nodnodnod I like the way a GB imposes structure and discipline on my builds.

Just to confirm, any scale, and both single and two seaters are welcome

If I have the time, all 3 of mine will be F-15E's, well, one will be a F-15S, but all the mudmovers! Might be tempted to get a single seater and mark it as an IDF machine, complete with Mig kills.

I have done GBs before over on ARC but I can't recall a single type. I guess it is just me though.

If I have the time I would love to do both kits. GBs are great for getting models done and a little more fun than building on my own.

I really like the Academy kit along with the decals that come with it. I am aware of the weaknesses in the kit but I am also ready for a challenge.

Changed my mind on what I *might* do, was looking at printing my own decals for this one. Depends if I can get a decent enough picture. However is the F-15MTD still allowed? It's an F-15E with F-18 canards, actually checked that one up on NASA's website.

I just googled the F-15MTD. I didn't even know it existed.

Looks really cool Dazz.

I know, she is a weird little plane. Sometimes called the F-15 "ACTIVE" depending on the engines it has. The one I was looking at will be very colourful and have a lot of masking to do... Yay all in 1/144 too... What am I letting myself in for?? :D

Kind Regards

Dazz
