PaulR
Hallo there. A pair of Airfix Hurricanes for what it's worth. Neither kit is perfect (and neither is my modelling of them!) but both were a really refreshing jump back to building kits as a kid. The Mk 1 is from my very favourite period of aviation history, namely the Battle of Britain, and is OOB apart from a replacement seat and brown paper belts. The Mk IIC of 33 sqn has had some mods to the cockpit, and tanks from the Revell kit; it also has Xtradecal markings. It's actually the first kit I have build in RAF desert colours - need to add some more!. All paints Xtracrylix, and applied using my trust Iwata. Now to tackle my two Revell Hurricanes! nodrog2
Paul! they look really good to me, the Hurricane never gets the same praise the Spitfire gets, shame as it was the mainstay of R.A.F fighters, and a fine aircraft it was and yours do it justice. Mike
A very nice pair of Hurris. If I'd built like that as a kid, I might not have given up! One critique if I may - a coat of matt or semi-matt varnish would improve the look IMHO
