lancfan
The plastic card sand skirts are finished and shown here. I had originally intended to use the new type rubbery tracks on this model but found when the box was opened they looked like this (top) it is hard to believe that both sets of track are from the same tool and were made just a few years apart. Shame on you Airfix. To fit the tracks inside the sand skirts the upper half of each track had to be trimmed to size. ('scuse fingers) The basic tank is now finished in Light Stone 61 mixed in my preferred Revell Aqua acrylic. David. And finally it is now finished, my second Airfix Sherman complete with decals, stowage and a commander peering at the desert horizon. David. lancfan
Thanks Mish, Darren. For my third model and inspired by the 'Tank Overhaul' series on the Yesterday channel I thought I would do something a little different... David.
