Max Headroom
Last September the Headroom family decamped to New York for four nights. One of my highlights was the Intrepid. This is well worth a visit and is only a taxi ride away from Times Square. Get there early before the queues and go to the cinema on board for a potted history of the ship. Then make your way to the TBM-1 for anotherpresentation. The only downside is that there were no models for sale at all in the shop. First off here are some exhibits from below deck. A-4 NA Fury TBM-1 Now going above deck but still under cover a McDonnell Demon. Front only as you couldn't get into the tent More soon from the deck. F-32
Lovely stuff, when I was there in November 2009 they had the Panther in the tent fully stripped of paint. Looking forward to seeing more.

Max Headroom
Top deck this time. Apologies for the quality of some of the pics, but it was a bright day and I just snapped away oblivious to the overexposure. I've tried to compensate as best I can. More soon. Thanks for looking. JohnHull
WHOA THERE!An actual Shuttle? Where will they put it? Trevor Yep the Enterprise is going there. They moved it a few weeks ago and it's currently being looked after at JFK. They've made space on the top deck for it, I read that there building a permanent cover over it to protect it
kstater94
The placement of the Enterprise on the flight deck of the Intrepid is only temporary. The museum has purchased land across the street from the ship where they plan on building an exhibition hall where the shuttle will be the centerpiece. While it is on deck, the Enterprise will be housed under a temporary tent to protect it from the elements. Regards John
