SaintsPhil
Evening BMers, I have in he back of my mind a plan to attempt a diorama and I want some 1/48 scale ground support equipment to add to it. I'm after a bomb trolley ideally to display the aircraft armament on, but I'm struggling to work out what I need and from where! Does anyone have any pointers? I've found a few possible other bits but I'm strugglign to work out what ear they are for These for example: http://www.hannants.co.uk/product/VL1427 http://www.historexagents.com/shop/hxprodu...roductCode=2559 Any extra suggestions appreciated! Difficult to google when I don't know what to search for!! Phil

Evalman
How about these, I'm not 100% sure about suitability for the Vietnam era but they may be ok: http://www.hannants.co.uk/product/GE48014 http://www.hannants.co.uk/product/GE48013 http://www.hannants.co.uk/product/GE48011 Hannants show two as out of stock, you may be able to get them directly from AIM. phildagreek
What about the stuff in the old Hasegawa equipment sets, the ones with some ground crew? They might not be 100% for the time period but I bet they aren't far off, Vietnam era kit was probably used well into the eighties.

Selwyn
Try Kingkit. They have the Italeri "combat aircraft support Group" which is the italeri release of the Hase mold. search Kingkit UK. Then on the kingkit site, search "Italeri, all categories, 1/48 scale, and you should find it half way down the page. Selwyn

Finn
Here are some Life pics of the era that may be of inspiration: http://www.gstatic.com/hostedimg/5f26ed064c1a930e_large http://www.gstatic.com/hostedimg/2b6f51c9f31afb36_large http://www.gstatic.com/hostedimg/788db107aabe4b93_large http://www.gstatic.com/hostedimg/facaaa5879d66ddd_large Jari
SaintsPhil
Thanks those pics are great! I think the bomb loader might be this: http://www.hannants.co.uk/product/VL1427 Just in yellow... I looked at the Scunkworks trailers but assumed from the ordinance shown they're a bit more modern, happy to be proved wrong!! Phil
Finn
The MJ-1 was the common bomb loader in Vietnam, the ESCI, now Italeri Support kit has one. As for the trailer, the designs of them didn't change that much, since they did the job there was no need to, just paint the Skunkworks trailer yellow and you'll be fine. Google MHU-12 munition trailer and you'll get info about them as they were around in that era. Jari
