The Airbus A320 family comprises of 4 different aircraft, all longer or shorter versions of the A320. The baby of the family is the A318, being the shortest in aircraft, then the A319 at almost 34m long, then the A320 at a shade over 37m long then the longest of the family the A321 at 44.5m long.

The whole family shares a high number of components to make them attractive to airlines and cheaper to operate!

British Airways had an almost legendary love of aircraft for over the pond made by Boeing, until they inherited a few early A320 airliners following a merger. They must have made an impact as BA now has a mixed fleet of A320 family airliners from the A318, used for business class passengers crossing to the US, and various A139s, A320s, and A321s used on the network.

Revell make the A319, A320 and A321 in 1:144 as part of their injection moulded range, and Eastern express do an A318 in Injection Moulded plastic but it’s a fairly easy job to shorten a Revell kit to the A318.

As usual from Two Six you get 2 sheets, firstly a sheet with the livery on. This sheet carries the British Airways tail flag, and the quality of the shaded dark and light is very well captured, as are the ribbon details for the fuselage. There is a large number of letters on the sheet to allow you to build any of the British Airways A320 family fleet. Details on the aircraft model and registrations are found on the colour instruction sheet, as are details on the engine options on the aircraft.

The second sheet is the generic A320 family stencils and details. This contains all the windows, doors and stencil decals for the aircraft and has options for the wholeA320 family.
