robvulcan
Hi guys so here it is my finished vulcan b2 xm655 of which i am a proud member of in real life and what a beauty i think she is if i do say so myself. im really chuffed with this build its my first serious build this year and is the best think thats happened to me this mad year! she is part rattle can part brush painted in hu165,hu166, and green a mix of mostly hu66 and a dash of hu10 brown. I am not used to and nor do i like this new style to the forum and were im used to creating a new topic it looks like i have to do this in reply form "bit strange" for the build process of this look in the main section of this v force group build. cheers rob Plus 5 other vulcans ,xh558, xh562, xh557, xm648, xl391 im starting to think it be nice to exibit these with the vulcan village and all my other vulcans as a sort of historical refference to vulcans. Mike N
OK Rob, I'll take a few shots for you, probably be a few days before I can post them. Hope I've provided some inspiration, let me know if you have any questions on the conversion! Mike
Mike N
Hey Rob, Here are a few more pics: Here are some intake pics as requested - sorry, light wasn't great so not much detail to be seen in the depths!: The exhausts were sanded down from the Flightpath resin 200 series parts. Sanding them into cones wasn't very easy and the results are so-so, but hey they're at the back so not very visible on the shelf The centres were drilled out but I was afraid of cracking the resin so they are a bit too thick. The photos, mostly in B&W appear to show them also in white, so that's how I did them: Make sure you have plenty of sandpaper and elbow grease when you come to do the leading edges! Hope this helps Mike
