Phil Podmore
More wrestling occurred until 1:30 am last night! Now the fuselage is attached to the wings (minor gappage at the wing root but I can deal with it) Flaps in and it's beginning to feel like I've broken this bugger! Tonight is time for the engine bracers, cowl, cowl flaps (etch) and assorted minor assemblies Then onto the very real challenge of sanding and making it pretty! Then I might be able to get some fecking paint on it!

tank152
Phil, it doesn't matter what your model looks like now, its the end result that counts.

Phil Podmore
It has been a struggle to get this far if I'm honest - but I did make a rod for my own back by wanting to show it with it's bits out.....

tank152
I don't know what you're worried about, it all looks good to me, don't forget you have to do some severe hacking up of the kit to get all that etch in its bound to get a bit tatty in parts, its all cleanable and its what things are like at the end that count. AndyC
Great work Phil! Out of interest, what would be the 'normal' finish for the wheel well? RLM02 or NMF/Alu? I was going to do my A-8 with RLM02...just wondered
