Anyone that likes to improve their kit cockpit and instrument panels can't have missed the Airscale range of decals that give your instrument panels that authentic look that would be otherwise impossible unless you printed your own decals.

These new sets available in the two main scales contain a raft of instrument faces, some in colour, for your early Soviet jets. Each instrument decal is incredibly well detailed, and numbered for cross-referencing with a key that tells you the function of each one. It's quite a list, but I've laid it out below for information:

  1. Attack Angle
  2. Fuel Gauge
  3. Homing Indicator
  4. Oxygen Pressure
  5. Gyro Compass
  6. Oil/Fuel Temperature
  7. Attitude Indicator
  8. Gyro Magnetic Compass
  9. Altimeter
  10. Turn & Slip Indicator
  11. Airspeed Indicator
  12. Clock/Chronograph
  13. Clock/Chronograph
  14. Exhaust Gas Temperature
  15. G-meter
  16. Altitude Indicator
  17. Hydraulic Pressure Gauge
  18. Attitude Indicator
  19. Turn & Bank Indicator
  20. Tachometer
  21. Voltmeter
  22. Cockpit Pressure Gauge
  23. Wheel Pressure Gauge
  24. Oil Pressure Gauge
  25. Oil/Fuel Capacity/Temp
  26. Fuel Pressure Gauge
  27. Temperature Indicator
  28. EGT
  29. Acceleration Gauge
  30. Hydraulic Pressure Gauge
  31. Tachometer

Each set comes with a small sheet of clear acetate for you to use as glass in front of each decal, which can be punched out individually, or laminated between the decals and the instrument panel front.

conclusion

Yet another addition to the growing set of instrument decals, placards and complete instrument panel sets available from Peter @ Airscale. Having used some of Peter's decals on various builds, I can confirm that they settle down well with Mr Mark Setter, and the carrier film becomes invisible once set. You can punch the individual decals from the sheet, but I just cut them out into a vaguely circular shape with a scalpel, because the carrier film is so pliable.

I can't recommend these highly enough for improving your cockpits.
