andy wood
This was built with the intention to enter it into the emergency services GB, but failed miserably to make the deadline. Months later the gloss has not fully cured, so although I was enjoying the build I began to lose enthusiasm when the finish was being affected. Still I hope you like it. AndyC
Very nice indeed - I keep seeing these for sale at model shows and I really must buy one and have a go at it Great work Andy
Paul J
That is nice. I built one as a commision for a former work colleague who in turn wanted it as a gift for his uncle who served on the boats. I enjoyed making the model and occasionally think of doing another for myself.

GH05T8
Nice one Andy! These boats are definitely growing on me. Are they as detailed as your picture OOB or did you do some scratchbuilding? Thanks for sharing looks great. Justin Not hijacking your thread Andy @ Garry, Googled up this, It is 1/76 though it'd be okay,he'd just be really tall bloke! The dude uses a modded pilot from a kit released back in 81! Food for thought anyway. http://westmodelsandfigures.blogspot.com.a...rewman-176.html Edited February 23, 2012 by GH05T8

andy wood
Thanks for all your comments. Justin: I did a fair bit of my own detailing. I used Archer dry transfer rivets painted silver for all the panels, wire mesh in certain areas and fully detailed bridge (or whatever it is called the area where the Y class rigid lifeboat is) to name a few areas where I have added a bit extra
richellis
Very nice, I have a few in the stash (rude not ot buy while in an RNLI shop!) GH05T8
Andy, She does stand out from others with those details. I really like the hydraulic lines on the derrick and rubber duck cover. Justin
