GreenDragon
Saw a piccie from Nuremburg that had a piece of a Pan Am Airbus showing at the top of it and haven't seen mention of it since and couldn't find the original pic either. Seems it's an A310 in 1/144th scale from Kopro! Modelstories have a box art pic of a CSA plane so I assume the one I glimpsed was this kit? Also coming is a 1/100th Pan Am 727-200. Don't know the mould provenance but Revell are the only ones I know of with an A310 and Plasticart the only 727 in 1/100th that I remember but not sure if it was a -100 or -200. In 1/72nd the Ki44 Shiden (George) is a new tool and apparently the MiG 21 series are also new tools along with two boxings of the Lockheed Have Blue Prototypes. Here's Modelstories boxart piccies. http://modelbox.free.fr/news/KOPRO2012_P/ Seem to remember their Su25 was supposed to be pretty good for accuracy so I may get the "Su25 African" boxing and I definitely want the A310 & Ki44. And probably the MiG21's.....maybe the Su25 with the Shark painted all down the side....Possibly the 1/48th Su25 repop too! Alright.... might get the L-39 repop for the Breightling markings and the Have blue kits! Paul Harrison
MiG Mongoose
The Su-25 'African' has been announced for a while and a separate decal sheet was released by Kopro. New mould MiG-21 is interesting , good to see Kopro are still around with new releases!
Hypnobear
Nice news with Kopro then! I really like their boxart - particularly on the 1/72 Mig 21's and Shidens - lets hope they will be readily avaliable over here as they look nice Seems strange that they should choose to do a George though - Kopro dont do anything remotely Japanese and theyve just gone and planned a series of that plane? Strange but Im not complaining! Might be the Aoshima molds in the box, though I wouldnt know what they look like as I dont have one of those kits to start off with

GreenDragon
Read somewhere that the Shiden is a "reworked" Aoshima mould. What's been done to it? I haven't a clue! Never got hold of the original one so can't do a comparison. Paul Harrison
Hypnobear
This site has the box contents for one of the Kopro Shidens: http://www.modellboard.net/index.php?topic=39709.0 Looks good, but if its going to be at least £8 or so though.... Was hoping they would be around the £5-6 mark like Kopro's other smaller kits Edited March 4, 2012 by Hypnobear

The wooksta V2.0
Read somewhere that the Shiden is a "reworked" Aoshima mould. What's been done to it? I haven't a clue! Never got hold of the original one so can't do a comparison.Paul Harrison IIRC, the Aoshima kit was a brand new tooling dated 1995/96. The Fw Ta 152H kits they did then (two different H-0 tools and one H-1) were the equal of Hasegawa at the time so I guess the Shiden was even better. This site has the box contents for one of the Kopro Shidens:http://www.modellboard.net/index.php?topic=39709.0 Looks good, but if its going to be at least £8 or so though.... Was hoping they would be around the £5-6 mark like Kopro's other smaller kits Most of the other Kopro smaller kits are their old toolings dating back to the 70s or 80s, although some were slightly retooled (the Spitfires, Avia C-2 and Aero C-3 spring to mind), so it's not surprising that they're cheaper. £8 for a copy of the Aoshima Shiden is a bargain, because they were around £15 when they came out in 96. Don't know how much the Hasegawa kit is these days, but eyes and sockets is probably about what they're charging.
