This is Hunter F.1 WW604/F of No. 233 Operational Conversion Unit based at RAF Pembrey, Camarthenshire in 1956.

I've wanted to make a Pembrey Hunter for a while and this particular aircraft is one that my Dad 'spannered' on when he was with 233 OCU at Pembrey. His photo which inspired me to built this Hunter is below.

Model details are Revell 1/72nd F.6 as a base, with Aeroclub early Hunter conversion set. Decals are from the kit except the serials which are home printed and the yellow "F" which were kindly provided by a fellow Britmodeller. Painted with my own mix of Tamiya acrylics, Citadel Mithril Silver and finished with Windsor and Newton's superb Galeria satin varnish.

I hope you like it!

Edit: Bugger! Like Navy Bird I've just noticed that I've forgotten to re-attach the pitot.

Edit (again): New and improved! Now with added pitot probe!
