rkennerley
This young man arrived in the post today so i can now carry on building. as it is a private plane the forward gun turret had to go leaving me with a big wedge in the planes nose,in comes a young air man about to go on his first ever flight. He has just finished cleaning the windows of the forward viewing room. i have just finished the basic floor and bulk head so now all i have to do is detail the room and build the glass work for the room. rkennerley
finally got her stitched up and starting to look like plane.Because this is a civilian plane i got rid of the rear turret and blanked off the back with some card but it just dose not look right so i dont know what i am going to do with it yet the forward turret is also gone and i am trying to make a glass canopy for it. Kallisti
I'd forgotten about the stampunk builds - been so involved with my Aliens build that this lot slipped my attention! I love the big piston and flywheel on each wing and those "engines" look superb, The bridge looks great as well. Would the space for the rear turret area be a good place for a winch or anchor or something? Good luck with the front canopy!
rkennerley
After a afternoon of many short sentences i have got the frame work for the forward look out done it still needs to be sanded but that is the easy part.

Kallisti
Nicely done with the canopy frame! That looks like it was a tricky job!
rkennerley
"Would the space for the rear turret area be a good place for a winch or anchor or something?" i was thinking the same thing Kallisti but i didn't think that that the "normal" anchor shape would look that good on the back so after some thought i have come up with this. I have also got the stacks fitted and am about ready to glue the wings on.

Bertie McBoatface
Wow! Impressive. You have improved the Sunderland enormously - love the funnels! It makes you realise just how steampunky the original Sunderland was - very 'Dan Dare'!
