A honorable member of this forum, davepb, has designed a interesting correction/upgrade set for the old and to be reissued soon 1/48th Westland Wessex HAS.3 kit.

This set replaces the undersized "Horse Collar" aero-dynamic fairing and Radome.

It also includes some detailing for the underside that includes the sonar well fairing, and the Doppler aerial.

Also of interest a nose correction set suitable for naval HU.5's, RAF HC.2's, HAR.2's & HCC.4's

This casting is designed to extend the nose to the correct profile. Remove the location tabs on the front of the fuselage, and fit the moulding between fuselage and nose - no cutting necessary!! Some filling and filing will be necessary!

I bought the 'horses collar'; radome and nose correction unit and they arrived yesterday.

Haven't had time to do a fit yet but they do look good.

I subsequently found that the nose extension is for the HU.5 (which I want to do but only have the Mk.3 kit) so I hope Revell will re-release the HU.5/Queens Flight sprue as well as the Wessex 3.
