Lennyb72
Hi all, hope I'm in the right place for this question. Question... What was the Do 335 airframe and outer skin made out of??????????? Reason I ask is that I did a review on the 1\48 scale Revell kit on a youtube video and one of the responces I got from it after I said I was going to rescribe the raised panel lines was not to bother, because it had raised panel lines and it was primarly made from a wooden construction???? I know round about the time of the Do 335 development and test stage that the Allies were bombing Germanys industry but did it come to that it was made from wood??? I do find it hard to take in and was wondering if you guys knew for def because I'm finding it hard to find anything on the net. I've tryed youtube but all the videos are period ones and I don't speak or understand much German. Thanks for taking time reading my waffle and hope you can help me with this one. popeye
. Nope - the 335 was normal all metal construction. Somebody must have got his numbers wrong or mixed with the Tank 154 - THAT one was the German Mosquito ! Rolf
Stu_davros
The one in Washington looked standard metal construction: (Excuse the size of the picture) Certainly not raised lines. Stuart
