USS Arizona 1/700

Recommended Posts

Hi all just thought I would share some pics of my take on the Dragon 1/700 Arizona. This is my first attempt at brass etched on a ship as well as the rigging. I'm not a natural at this so there is plenty of imperfections but I had fun building it but need to find a different method of doing the water. I have found a few methods on here that look very effective so will try them when I get to the next ship. Unfortunatly my 3yo nephew figured out how to open the cabinet door and got his hands on it :(

That looks superb and I think the water looks very realistic. What did you use for the water?

Thanx. The water is alfoil which I squashed into a ball then flatten it back out the intension being all the creases become wave motion but didn't work that way. then just painted blues and not enough white for the wake and then white glue poured over it all but I put to much and it ended up with a brown tinge and all the white bit aren't on the surface so it looks wierd.
