Mark M
well, having done the review HERE i thought i should build the kit, but i didn't really fancy the markings supplied, there are nothing wrong with them but a fancied something different so a trawl around the next found a 74 sqn History decal sheet (review to follow) the sheet contains markings for SE5's, spitfire's, phantoms and the Lightning! so heres what she should be like! the decal review is here DECAL REVIEW heres the sheet ive started the nose cone, in side it is as much lead as i could cram in she goes to gether very nicley only minro filling needs, which is good cos i dont want to loose that nice detail, well thats it for a while cos im on nights

zipper
What did you use as your black gloss? I have Alclad black gloss but it never dries and i think it is, well, rubbish. Take it back to Alclad and they will exchange it, I had the same problem with the black and had a undercoat that was lumpy they exchanged both not a problem. Looks cracking Mark and I just love 74 Sqn

Photobucket wants you to pay for a Pro account as you've exceeded the bandwidth for a free account. Anyway, I was going to use the Alclad black primer on my Lightning (since I didn't have the grey primer at the time) and I wrote to Tony Hipp (owner of Alclad), who responded that I should not use the black for anything other than the fancy highly polished or prismatic finishes. So I curious to see your results here, but Photobucket denies me the pleasure! When does your account reset so I can come back and have a look? Did you convert to Pro recently? I must have first looked at the page before you went to Pro. The NMF looks nice - I love the choice of markings, too. Can't wait to see it when it's finished!
