Thinning Mr Color (Acrylic)

As the title says, has anyone tried thinning Mr Color, the acrylic type, with tamiya thinners? Are there any issues?

Thanks

Phil

I've done the reverse, Mr Color thinner and Tamiya paints, works fine.

I think it must be fine.

I thin them with Sainsbury's basic vodka - works perfectly

Thanks very much guys, I assumed it would be ok as I thought they were both alcohol based acrylics,

By the way I love that idea! I was thinking of getting some IPA once my stock of thinners runs out but that's even better, one gulg for paint one for you....

Its fine.

The yellow top thinner is better than the white top IMO. 99% IPA dries the paint a lot quicker, I use that for yellows and whites.

Their levelling thinner is the best thinner I've used with their paints though

That's it. Can't seem to get it in the UK. Ebay comes to the rescue though

I got it from Model Design Construction, along with the paint! Ordered Monday and it was waiting for me when I got home yesterday!!

I'll give it a go and see!

Thanks gents

Phil
