rs2man
This is my first completed model for 2012 . It’s the new tool 1/72 Airfix Spitfire Ia with the 3D Kits conversion parts to convert it to a IIa . Just to add a little extra interest , I cut open the cockpit door , cut the sliding section out of the hood & replaced it with a Falcon vacform piece . Paint is Humbrol , WEM & Xtracrylix . Decals are mainly from 3D Kits , with stencils from the kit sheet . This was my first attempt at highlighting panel lines & for this I used Flory Models dark weathering wash , which worked pretty well .
