Metallicus
Hi gents Well after a couple of months off from modelling, I would like to join up with the Heller 1/35 Super Frelon that I started a couple months back, the thread can be found here, as you can see I have only done the rotor head. Would be ok to continue the build here? Cheers Brenden Edited March 6, 2012 by Metallicus

Metallicus
I thought in the mean time I would post the pics I've got the build so far. Here are a few shots starting with the obligatory box and sprue shots. I have built up the main rotor hub so far using only the kit parts (21 parts so far another 12 to go) and have started to detail them. I attached the folding mechanism for each blade and "wired" them up. Till next time thanks for looking! Cheers Brenden
Metallicus
Morning Manage to make a start in the cockpit, not much though only got a seat and the centre console put together... I drilled out the holes and thinned the plastic to put in some brass mesh, looks much better than the kit part. here are a couple shot of the mocked up seat so far. That's all for now Cheers Brenden

Metallicus
Right gents I finally have some sort of progress for you and some photo's to go with it.... I have build up a lot of the part's and made some progress on cleaning and prepping parts for detailing and paint. Basic pit built up Tail rotor assembly 3 of 7 cabin seats done: Cabin floor after hot water, bending and putting and sanding. The 2 halves were so warped : A final pic of the parts ready for paint: Next job is to remove the black shaded area's: I'm really starting to enjoy this build so hopefully I'll keep the update's coming. Thanks for looking Cheers Brenden Edited March 6, 2012 by Metallicus
Parabat
Looking good Brenden, was wondering how this bird was coming on. Some good added detail there, like it!
Will Vale
I was hoping there might end up being a big helicopter in the group build. This definitely fits the bill! I scaled the dimensions from Wikipedia - assuming they're accurate your model is going to be over 2 feet long!

I know it is going to be crazy big, well at least I won't be glueing the rotor blades in place so that might give me a bit more room..... Thanks for the comments chaps Cheers Brenden
