Mike Mcellaney
This is the Tamiya 1/32 P-51D finished as Big Beautiful Doll, flown by Col. John Landers, 361st Fighter Group in July 1945. As you see I decided to finish her slightly differently to how you would normally see her Hope you like her
kpc7676
All these Mustangs coming out to play is very interesting. I can see a plentitude of 32 scale props at shows this year as more and more of them are rolled off the bench. Very nice build by the way, looks very neat and tidy and well worth the effort it no doubt took.

mungo1974
Awesome build, thats only the second time ive seen BBD done in those markings. Most folks dont even know Landers went to the 361st,its a scheme ive been wanting to add to my collection for sometime, your model has convinced me to do a yellowjacket BBD along with Roy Caviness's Duxford "Contrary Mary". MakingModelsAgain
Stunning and a highly realistic paint finish which, for me, comes from the yellow nose. Often, gloss paint finishes tend to look thick and have a 'gloopy' feel about them - this looks like it's right down there on the metal and has that perfect just off-shiny feel to it. The bmf is also spot on and the weathering is just right too. Superb!
tank152
As others have already said, superb.
