Iain Ogilvie
So, what have I achieved/learned modelling-wise this year? Quite a lot actually - it's been a year when I turned from fighting the hobby and getting stressed about the stupid stuff and just got on and had FUN. Not bad as I started plastic fondling 41 years ago at the age of four - and haven't stopped since... Tipping points? I think I finally dispatched that elephant in the modelling room. The picture in your minds-eye before you start a project and how it never quite meets that vision when completed? And sweating over the 'little things' that actually make very little difference on the final model - and that nobody else would ever notice in a month of Sunday's! I *think* I've learned to stop being my own worst critic I guess!! Another development in '11 has been that I've started writing for magazines again (specifically Military in Scale) and that's given me the impetus to 'crack-on' and finish projects I'm doing for the mag. It creates structure, focus and I daren't let 'the boss' down... Of course the additional driver there is I get a little pocket money for each article - which goes straight into my ever dwindling flying fund. So - with blue skies* and a fair wind, I'm expecting 2012 to be more productive than ever - watch this space! Pacific Coast Regianne Re.2005 - 1:32 Revell Hawk - 1:32 Hasegawa Me 109F-2 - 1:32 Revell He 111P-2 - 1:32 Plus numerous other projects started/worked upon. Here's to a mega build year in 2012! Happy New Year everyone! Iain
Natter
Hawks don't do it for me, but yours is a belter; same for the He 111. Good luck with the flying fund thru 2012. Dave

CliffB
What fantastic work Iain - I can only wonder at the amount of work and skill that has gone into each of them! If I had to choose a favourite I'd probably pick the 109, if only because of this brilliant view Cheers Cliff
Iain Ogilvie
Thanks folks - really appreciated... That's my fave view of the 109 too - pilot's eye view as he walks out to his aeroplane for another sortie. Must up my output for 2012 - I have a Raiden that should be finished shortly, then the Skyraider - plus a number of started projects I really should finish. But byword for the year is fun not stress! Vulcanicity
Superb. I remember being amazed at the "crudely applied night" paintwork on the He.111 from before, and it still stuns me.
