Albeback52
It seems to be out & about! Was looking for information & found a link to www.super-hobby.it. Advertised for 35.62 Euros. Also found a link to a Polish web site (sorry- can't remember it!) & it had an advertised price of 119 zl (don't know what that is in Sterling!) Every British site I've tried doesn't give a price! Fills me with foreboding! Given the current trend for Italeri to emulate Hasgawa when it comes to prices, I find 35.62 euros a bit optimistic!! That will of course be the r r p in Italy - minus postage to the UK! Anyway. Thought it might be of interest Allan
CarLos
119 zt is a bit more than 22 GBP. If the price confirms it will be a winner! Carlos

brewerjerry
Found the kit at antics online at £100 , not in stock as yet though .Also listed as a future release on Hannant's site along with a Special Hobby kit Hi Ouch .... thought it would have been more in the region of 40 Gbp, like the C-130....Think I will pass on this one and stick with the airfix one, old that it is. cheers Jerry Edited January 1, 2012 by brewerjerry
davidelvy
Found the kit at antics online at £100 , not in stock as yet though . Some retailers' sites have a default price setting when the kit is not yet available. If a monster kit like a 1/35 MTB can be sold for £100 a more modest 1/72 flying boat should sell for considerably less.
Scooby
Any Sprue shots of this kit yet? I don't normally build 1/72 but my Grandma built these during the war. She was always very proud of this and always told me stories when I was a kid.
Davidf66
Hi guys, I work at the LHS (Laurence Mathews) in Southend, the other day I asked the rep who deals with Italeri about the availability of the Sunderland. He said that it was supposed to be released early last year, then got pushed back to December last year, then to Early this year but, at the moment, no-one has any idea when the kit will eventually see the light of day. As to the cost, he said they don't even have an RRP listed. Given Italeri prices at the moment, I imagine it could be a bit eye-watering! If I hear any more, I'll let you know. Just in case anyone was beginning to wonder, the same applies to the alleged Italeri 1/32nd scale F-104 Starfighter.
rowmk9
Yes I'm keeping an eye out for this kit, and that info David is interesting. Seems we will have to wait a bit longer. As for the price I'd guess they will be somewhere between £30-40 but hopefully not above that. Having said that, a higher price cannot be ruled out seeing how Italeri are going a bit Hasegawa-ish with their pricing these days.
Chuck1945
I have been operating under the assumption that this is the Sunderland kit developed by MPM some time ago (perhaps 18 months?). If so, there were sprue shots at the time.
LDSModeller
I have been operating under the assumption that this is the Sunderland kit developed by MPM some time ago (perhaps 18 months?). If so, there were sprue shots at the time. Not so much sprue shots but similar vein - was supposed to be a MK III/V, actually more a hybrid Mk I/Mk III/Mk V. http://www.modelforum.cz/viewtopic.php?f=97&t=45530 Italeri issued some CAD shots - and they still got the aft port holes wrong three not two for a Mk I, may be they have sorted it out for the production run. http://www.armorama.com/modules.php?op=mod...le&sid=9327 Regards Alan

Ed Russell
I see they have Bathurst 7,000 miles out on the camouflage notes. Maybe it was based in the local swimming pool. I did correct this for them but no reply as yet.
