Angel Expósito
Another kit on my stash. Well, it's my first arrow on water effect.... bloody and sadly! The kit is very complicated to fit, more over the engine on fuselage spine and canopy behind. She's painted with Gunze for the upper zones and Aeromaster for the lower wings. The sea was made with a kitchen paper plus wood glue mixture. Thanks for seeing.

Bertie McBoatface
Brilliant water. I admire the way you risked doing big waves. It makes the little 'boat look suitably fragile. Outstanding, especially for a first attempt. I wonder it you will ever be able to improve on it?
Arie
There's a surprise...pop the hatch, and you're tête-à-(missing) tête with the prop! Great work--very convincing weathering--fantastic subject... Absolutely first rate

Maxidad
That's just fantastic. The paintwork is really wonderful and water-effect amazing. Any chance of a step-by-step demo of the water-technique? Edited December 9, 2011 by Maxidad
Bertie McBoatface
I just showed picture 10 to my son, 23 and his girlfriend. Neither are modelmakers but neither are they stupid - both said "WOW!" Matt looked twice and thought he'd worked out what it was. He thought it was a real aeroplane on a real sea but with a real engine photoshopped into a really weird position. (Well, it is a daft looking aircraft.) I think you can take all that as a sincere compliment to your modelling, that amazing sea and your photos too.

Mikey58
WOW!!!!!! Simply stunning-the plane and the water, really great work, one to be very proud of! If I dare express one slight point and that maybe the water should have a little more colour variation to break up the blue? Mike

tonyot
What a really fantastic model....WOW! It is nice to see one built as I`ve always wondered what the oft mentioned desert colour scheme would look like on this type, as it seems to be a strange choice considering its over sea role, then again I`ve also seen a Walrus in a similar looking desert scheme too? I`ve never been able to tell from the single photo that I`ve seen of this RAF operated Fairchild whether it was in fact desert coloured or in a more applicable Temperate Sea Scheme, due to the type of film (orthochromatic?) or filter used. I`d love to know for sure as this is what is holding up my own model of the type, which I`m sure will be nowhere near as good as your masterpiece, Sorry for going on, just wanted to see if anybody knows any more about the colours of this aircraft for sure really, plus compliment you on your build, Cheers Tony O
