Skeg
Am currently completing the airfix 1/72 red arrow hawk and found the decals, or getting the white lines to actually all go on to look like a straight line that is, quite a struggle and a bit taxing. Decaling is the bit i usually enjoy the most as it's when the model really comes to life. So was just wondering of the other britmodellers on here, what has been your most difficult, taxing, frustrating decaling you've undertaken. Would be interesting to here what others have experienced. skeg
Stephen
The walkway decals on a 1/48 F-16 are quite tricky,in fact any walkway decals.I had a particularly hard time with the radome decal on a Kinetic E-2 Hawkeye as it was quite large Stephen

GordonD
The stencils on the Dragon Apollo Service Module. In 1/72 some of them are the size of a pencil point and there are a *lot*. Towards the end I was sorely tempted to leave them off as they're nearly impossible to see without a magnifying glass but I'd know they weren't there. As it is one or two of them are wrong as even with the spares that Dragon provide I messed up a couple and had to replace them with one of the others. But it's a case of having a , instead of a . so I'm leaving it as it is!
Hypnobear
Most decalling goes wrong for me, but the ones I especially hate are the ones Airfix produced for a short time that appear in some of their kits like the Nimrod. Firstly they look horrible being all glossy and secondly the damn things just peel or fall off once you apply them! Which means you either need to buy new aftermarket ones or go through the whole route of glossing your model, decalling it then unglossing it again with a matt coat of which the gloss and matt substances I havent a clue what they are or what they look like Why couldnt Airfix just stick with the decal quality they had with releases a bit earlier to that of the Nimrod or Concorde? They were fine as they were

tinytuco
One of the first models I attempted was the Academy 1.48 P47D Eileen - Those decals were beyond awful... Put me off Academy decals for life.... Which is ashame because apparently they make some really great fitting kits... Shouldnt have to go aftermarket on every single kit i buy from them....
