Any drawings available somewhere? Hi Yes, here. One I made earlier as they said on Blue Peter. http://sovietwarplanes.com/board/index.php?topic=881.0 There are a few other threads on VVS Hurricanes as well there. cheers T
Antoine
Hello Troy, Many thanks, I wouldn't expect something so precise. Exactly what I've been looking for.
Antoine
Oh, and also details about RS-82 mounts. Nice, I didn't know that these were assymetric. Those RS are available from vector, but I don't know where I'll be able to find the gun. Scratch seems to be the way.

Antoine The drawings were posted by Sergey from Vector, but are some Russian model magazine. Not only are the RS-82 assymetric, the guns are as well, if you look at the distances out from the centre line. The RS rockets are available from Vector, but also are options in some VVS kits, eg ICM LaGG 3, as are UB and ShVAK guns available in various ICM Yak and Mig 3 Kits and Zvezda Lavochin Kits, which have exposed engines. As these are often built with cowls closed, these parts may well be around in peoples spares boxes. There are quite a few French members on Soviet Warplanes, some also from 'le gang' who might be good folks to ask. Are you planning on opening up the wing? I do have a some information on the modified internal gun mounts, but not in a neat clear easily postable form, I have a load of photos from a VVS Hurricane being restored in the US which still has the VVS modified mountings, but not the guns..... oh, I already wrote that over there.... doh! Parenthood. The cutaway wing shown is for a standard Hurricane 'A' wing, NOT the VVS modified one just to be clear. I added it to the scan for comparison purposes. cheers T Edited November 26, 2011 by Troy Smith
Antoine
Just a project at the moment, but I'll keep it simple, so no opening of any kind.
