Murdo
Does anyone know what colour a WW1 tank might have been inside? I'm tempted to go for a sort of mid to light grey.

pte1643
http://www.landships.freeservers.com/mk4_interior.htm The Brussels Mk.IV (Lodestar?) is Off-White (Ivory-ish). The Australian Mk.IV (Grit) is White. The Mk.V at the IWM London is White, restored The Lincoln Mk.IV (Flirt) is Silver, clearly restored. In inclined to think the Belgian example is the most "Original" of the few that remain.
Murdo
Thanks guys, perfect! White it is! It's for the Whippet with interior post "Whippet with guts". I'm remaking the engines for about the third time. Almost there with them.
NZKIWI
I watched with facination as one of Peter Jackson's WW1 tanks was demonstrated at an airshow . Later I spotted it parked up and went to have a closer look , it looked authentic then I looked around the other side there was a "panel" was off , the inside was plywood and Caterpiller D9 yellow ! pte1643
^ Probably some modern day Health and Safety requirement. I assume the same madness applies in NZ... Seems to be everywhere.
Graeme
^ Probably some modern day Health and Safety requirement. I assume the same madness applies in NZ... Seems to be everywhere. Funny that H&S (in which I work) gets the blame...but it's more likely some bean counter to blame. And they ARE everywhere.
