tim dix
Hi guys Can anyone help me out here. I want to do a diorama of my Airfix Widgeon tied up on a mooring, but have no idea how to make a realsitic water effect base. Any tips would be appreciated. Shar2
Phil Reeder is your man on seascapes. I personally use ready made tile grout spread onto the baseboard and rippled slightly, then painted with artists acrylics. Occasionally I may use scenic water to add more "depth" to the painted surface.
Phil Reeder
As the aircraft is tied up,I suggest clear acrylic gel.Nowadays I use this stuff as a top coat after completing the sea. Cheers Phil
Mikey58
If you have a look at 'realistic water' on google you will find some more ideas. Mike
